Ustadha Sara Amgad Mahmoud
TajweedSara Amgad Mahmoud is a dedicated Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic language, and Islamic Studies teacher for non-native Arabic speakers. Teaching has been her passion from a very young age and remains the core of her professional journey. She graduated with honors from the Faculty of Languages, ranking among the top students of her cohort. Her academic program focused on preparing specialized educators and included Arabic, English, and Chinese, with a strong emphasis on teaching Arabic as a foreign language for both beginner and advanced learners.
She memorized the entire Holy Qur’an and completed her khatm at the age of ten. Sara began her Islamic education at the age of five in an Islamic school specializing in Qur’an memorization and Islamic sciences, under the guidance of highly qualified teachers. This early and strong foundation played a major role in shaping her knowledge, teaching philosophy, and deep connection to Islamic education.
She has over one and a half years of online teaching experience, during which she has taught more than 35 students from different age groups and backgrounds, completed over 1,000 teaching hours, and delivered more than 1,500 online lessons. Her students include children starting from six years old, teenagers, and adult learners, especially women.
For children and young learners, Sara teaches Qur’an, Tajweed, Islamic Studies, Arabic reading skills, and conversational Arabic using interactive educational games, modern digital tools, and visually engaging teaching methods. She carefully adapts her teaching style to each child’s age, personality, and learning level, creating a motivating and enjoyable learning experience. Many parents have shared positive feedback, noting their children’s growing love for Arabic and Qur’an classes.
For teenagers and adult learners, she begins by understanding each student’s goals, then designs a customized learning plan. She teaches Qur’an recitation, memorization, basic tafseer, Tajweed with practical application, Islamic Studies for beginners and advanced learners, Arabic for communication, Qur’anic understanding, academic grammar, and spoken dialects. Her approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts and linking theory with real-life practice.
Sara believes that teaching Qur’an and Islamic Studies goes beyond knowledge transfer; it is about connecting hearts to Allah, nurturing love for Islam, and helping learners grow into confident, practicing Muslims. She also believes that every learner has a natural love for knowledge, and what makes the difference is the right teacher using the right methods. To her, Arabic is not just a language, but a rich history, culture, identity, and living civilization.
